Yogurt cake is a simple and delicious cake that is made with yogurt as one of the main ingredients. It is a popular dessert in many countries, including France, where it is known as "gâteau au yaourt".


Here's a basic recipe for a yogurt cake:


INGREDIENTS:

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup sugar

3 large eggs

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1/2 cup plain yogurt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract


INSTRUCTIONS:

1.Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9-inch cake pan.

2.In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

3.In a large bowl, beat the sugar and eggs together until pale and fluffy.

4.Gradually whisk in the oil, then the yogurt and vanilla.

5.Fold in the dry ingredients until just combined.

6.Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

7.Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove it from the pan and transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
