INGREDIENTS:
1 and 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups granulated sugar
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup hot water
INSTRUCTIONS:
1.Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
2.In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
3.Add the sour cream, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
4.Gradually stir in the hot water, mixing until the batter is well combined.
5.Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
6.Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
7.Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool completely in the pan.
8.Once the cake is cool, you can frost it with your favorite frosting or serve it as is.
