Homemade Pita Bread in 15 minutes! No oven!
This easy homemade pita bread recipe made on the stove top with soft and chewy texture and puffed like a balloon creating a pocket.
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups 1/2 all purpose sifted four -400 g
1 cup yogurt-250 g
1 tsp baking powder-7 g
1/8 tsp salt-3 g
1 cup cheese + parsley-250 g cheese
DIRECTIONS:
In a large bowl combine yogurt, salt, flour and baking powder. Knead for 3 minutes.
Cover the bowl and let sit the dough for 15 minutes.
Divide the dough into 10 balls.
Working with one ball of dough at a time, roll each one out to a 4 inches circle. Place grated cheese inside and roll the dough.
Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Cook 2 minutes each side.
